Experienced Management Michael Wolf, Director Michael has more than 20 years experience in international business communication and publishing. He has worked as a consultant for the past four years developing marketing and PR programs for IT companies across Europe. He has an industry-wide reputation as an informed media specialist across all forms of print, on-line and broadcast media. Michael is one of the founding partners of Avon Business Communications where he brings a philosophy of integrated marketing for large and small companies alike. He has devised communications plans for client companies that encompass media, conference, exhibition and analyst strategy across multiple communities. His specialist areas are in telecommunications, networking, IT security and optical communications. Industry experience Publishing:-as part of the senior management team of technology magazines at International Thomson(Communications & Communications International), Horizon House (Telecommunications International) and McGraw-Hill (Data Communications & Business Week), Michael built integrated marketing solutions that encompassed online, print and broadcast media for some of the world’s largest IT companies. Key clients included Ericsson, Compaq, Nokia and Siemens. International:- Michael has significant international business credentials having worked as official media partner for the ITU (International Telecommunications Union) in Geneva and for McGraw-Hill in New York, from where he structured an international sales operation covering Europe and Asia. Matthew Peach, Director Matthew has 20 years experience in business-to-business publishing and international communications consultancy. His specialisms include photonics, telecommunications, control engineering and manufacturing; he also has substantial experience of technical marketing and public sector consultancy. After starting work in local government, Matthew progressed to local and national newspapers, international B2B publishing and online developments. Employers have included CMP (Process Engineering), Institute of Physics (Optics & Laser Europe, fibers.org), Reed Business (Design News), and Pennwell (Lightwave Europe). Matthew has also worked in communications consulting, founding his first company Meringue Media in 2003, to deliver diverse services to a range of public and private sector clients. He has a degree in chemistry and postgraduate qualification in journalism. Industry experience UK Government's Department for Children Schools & Families. In 2007, Matthew was also contracted to review the DCSF’s publishing arrangements for its portfolio of education sector publications. Ultimately the assessment committee refocused its publishing activities, improving product quality while cutting its annual publication bill by more than £300,000. Institute of Physics Publishing. In 2006, this former employer of Matthew Peach required a web content developer and editor to cover the areas of academic and industrial developments in lasers, optics, fibre-based communication and related technologies. Matthew provided content, advised on a web development strategy and helped to introduce podcasting and blogging to several of the IOP’s web-based products.
